Creating Leading Lines

Leading lines create interest and draw the viewer into the photo’s main subject.  Here the pier leads to the lighthouse (which is positioned following the golden rule of thirds) but many lines can do this….a tree branch…a hand rail….a set of stairs.  And they do not need to be straight…a “s” or even a “z” pattern can work with the right photo.
